Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
1. Who we are
Grade It AI ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted marking and feedback platform for educators at gradeitai.com (the "Service").
2. Professional use only
The Service is sold for business, school, tutoring and professional educational use only. By subscribing, you confirm that you are purchasing as — or on behalf of — a business, school, tuition centre, self-employed tutor, teacher acting in a professional capacity, or other educational organisation, and not as a private consumer. We may ask for reasonable evidence of professional use and may suspend accounts that misrepresent their status.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Plans are billed per seat, monthly or annually, in USD via Stripe. Prices exclude applicable taxes; where we are required to collect tax, it is added at checkout. Each seat includes a monthly allowance of gradings that resets each billing cycle; unused allowance does not roll over. Top-up packs are one-time purchases shared across your team and remain available while your subscription is active. You can change plan, seat count or payment method, or cancel, at any time from the billing page; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
4. Refunds
Subscription payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Billing errors and duplicate charges are always refunded in full. See our Refund Policy for details. Nothing in this section limits rights you may have under applicable law.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the mark schemes, question papers and student work you upload. You confirm you have the right to upload them and that you have any consent required to process student work through the Service. We process your content to provide the Service — including sending it to the AI model providers we use for marking — and do not use it to train models of our own.
6. AI-generated output
Grades and feedback produced by the Service are suggestions to support professional judgement, not a replacement for it. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming grades before relying on them or communicating them to students and parents.
7. Acceptable use
You must not resell access to the Service, share one seat across multiple people, attempt to circumvent usage metering, or use the Service for anything unlawful.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We provide the Service "as is" and do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
